The best healthcare providers will do prescreening to evaluate whether or not stem cell therapy is even a viable option. It isn’t for everyone.
Stem cells can do a lot but they don’t cure everything. Stem cells are a tool, but so is a hammer and the best use of that tool isn’t to drive in screws. The reason you go the the hardware store, and see a warning label on a bucket of paint is because at least one, and probably a bunch of people, decided to take an unnecessary risk, drank it and it made them ill.
What were those people thinking right? We laugh at that now, but mark my words, people will take unnecessary and unwise risks to try to accomplish things with stem cells and in the future, with the benefit of hindsight, they will also look back and ask, what were they thinking?
It’s no secret that there have already been more than a few overzealous providers who have overreached in their claims about what stem cell therapy can and cannot do. Some have tried treatments with patients that are purely experimental and the protocols they used didn’t always have the case studies and evidence to back them. Of course, they have drawn the ire of the FDA and rightfully so.
Because the possibilities surrounding stem cells are being explored and expanded, it can be tempting to reach, but we encourage a much more conservative approach. Dr. Tony Alessandra once said, “A doctor who writes a prescription without an analysis is performing malpractice.” At the very least, PLEASE keep that in mind if you are offered stem cell therapy from someone who doesn’t carefully evaluate what you are trying to accomplish and investigate any potential complications. Please exercise discretion. All stem cell therapy providers are not created equally.
