How does indecision and inaction affect your healthcare?

In the last 45 days, have you or a loved one experienced pain, swelling or decreased motion?

Specifically, where is the problem or where are the problems?  Are we talking about the neck, back, knee, ankle, hip, shoulder, elbow, wrist or hand?

How often is the pain there and how bad does it get?  How long has it been there?

Have there been unintended consequences, like additional pain, discomfort, nausea, etc. from the treatments that have been recommended so far?

What’s the impact?

What are some of the things that are important to you that you’re currently missing out on?

Do you feel like a burden to others?

Where did you love to go and what did you love to do BEFORE, that you can’t do NOW?  Sports? Hobbies? Activities with family?

What’s the toll financially, emotionally and personally?

What other sacrifices are being made? You know the type…

Maybe you haven’t done anything yet.  You just decided to tough it out and see what happens, but you’ve noticed things aren’t getting better on their own, degeneration is continuing, maybe even accelerating.

Maybe you’ve tried what seems like everything and the pain is still there, keeps coming back or has even gotten worse, because again, old approaches have been more focused on masking or dulling pain, rather than healing the degeneration or damage to the body that is causing the pain.

Maybe the doctors caring for you advise agains specific drugs or a surgery because excessive risk factors could literally make it a life or death issue.

I met a business consultant and author years ago.  His name was Tom Travisano and in a personal conversation he had with me before he passed away, he said something I never forgot.  It was actually a conversation about business and executives who hesitated to make unpleasant or unpopular decisions, the types who ignored data and relied more heavily on a positive winning attitude.

Of course, I argued that having a positive winning attitude and paying attention to data were not mutually exclusive choices and that business executives could and should do both.

But, what he said next stuck with me. I never forgot it and it may be applicable here.

He said one of the reasons that cancer is so devastating is because too many people ignore the symptoms.  They take the pain as long as they can until the pain is so great they can’t take it anymore and when they finally decide to do something, it’s too late.  Had they paid attention to the warning signs, and taken action immediately, the results could have been different for many of them.

When it comes to injuries and our ability to heal, especially as we get older, our bodies are not like wine. We don’t get better with age.

The fact that we are here now, having this conversation about your health and your personal challenges is giving me cause for optimism.  If you were ignoring the symptoms, then you wouldn’t be here right now. You’d be off somewhere else pretending everything was fine.

Like in most industries, the best service providers tend to specialize and don’t try to be all things to all people.  I think that pretty much holds true to providers in the stem cell industry as well.

We don’t go to see an eye doctor about an ear ache, just like we don’t go to an Italian restaurant to order BBQ.

Speaking of food and recipes, that reminds me.  The best stem cell therapy providers will not only have an area of specialty, but they will also follow best practices and treatment protocols consistently, to maximize the probability of successes they have helped previous patients in their area of specialty experience.

Much like a famous chef follows a recipe for a signature dish and can make a dish taste amazing each and every time, the chef has to pay attention to the smallest details and follow the exact same steps in the exact same order using the exact same ingredients in the exact same amounts cooked for the exact same amount of time in the exact same temperatures.

If stem cell therapy is something you wish to explore as an option, we can’t stress enough how important it is to get properly screened.  The best medical providers will be quick to point out other viable treatment options they feel could be more appropriate than stem cell treatments if those alternative treatments exist for an individual.

For example, depending on conditions, and the individual, the BEST solution may NOT be stem cells.  It might be something as simple as a change in diet. Literally getting more of some types of nutrition and avoiding others altogether.

Another reason a thorough screening is necessary is for your safety.  For example, anyone who hasn’t been cancer free for a minimum of two years is someone we would discourage from seeking stem cell therapy. It’s a deal breaker for our licensed health care providers and they won’t do it.

The focus and specialty of our practice is around diagnosing and addressing orthopedic issues. By that I mean pain and discomfort of the neck, back, knees, ankles, hips, shoulders, elbows, wrists and hands.
